Departure

Arrival
To Essaouira
Overview :
Essaouira, port city of the Atlantic coast, called Amogdul (the well-kept) in the Berber language, probably for being so well protected thanks to its long walls.
Essaouira has an exotic and at the same time familiar look, accompanied by the incessant squawks of the seagulls that fly over the city. At first it may seem that you are in a city of French Brittany, however, once you cross its walls it is an infinitely Moroccan city.
Its medina is a UNESCO world heritage site. Walking through its endless white streets transports you to another time in a scenario where nothing has changed. Strolling around we find the old Portuguese canyons aligned on battery in front of the Atlantic Ocean. Its walls protected the troops of Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ben Abadía and later Orson Welles used them as a stage to shoot his movie “Othello”.
Do not forget to visit its old port known for its abundant sardine fishing. The predominant color of this port is blue, since according to experts and fishermen, sardines are best tricked and that facilitates their capture. and thus, improve the catch of the day. Apart from that utility that they give to the blue color, it should be noted that this color gives this landscape a very relaxing and spiritual aspect.
Essaouira, moreover, consolidating itself as an important point to practice sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing or kayaking.

The Itinerary :
Marrakech – Morning Departure and Argan Route
Your excursion begins at 8:00 AM. Our team’s private driver-guide will pick you up directly at the door of your hotel or riad in Marrakech in a modern, fully equipped vehicle. We will set off heading west, leaving the Marrakech plain behind to venture into changing landscapes toward the coast.
During the journey, we will cross the protected cultivation area of the Argan tree, an endemic species unique to southwestern Morocco. We will make a stop along the way where you will have the option to visit a local women’s cooperative. Here, you will experience firsthand the laborious, ancient, and artisanal process of cracking the fruit and pressing the seeds, giving life to the valuable argan oil, used both in global high-end cosmetics and traditional Berber gastronomy.
Essaouira – Free Immersion in the Pearl of the Atlantic
We will arrive in Essaouira mid-morning, where you will have about 5 hours of free time to immerse yourself in the magic of the city at your own leisure and pace. We recommend starting by stepping inside its walled Medina (UNESCO); being completely pedestrianized and featuring a grid layout, it is very easy and relaxing to wander its white and blue streets without any fear of getting lost. You will walk among thuya wood artisan workshops, art galleries, and spice shops.
Around noon, it is essential to head down to the old fishing port, a spot full of mysticism and photogenic charm where dozens of wooden boats painted in intense blue sway under the squawking of seagulls. Choose one of the local stalls next to the port to enjoy a delicious lunch of fresh fish and seafood caught that very morning and grilled on the spot. In the afternoon, stroll along the Skala de la Ville, the ramparts where Portuguese cannons point out to the ocean, and relax while taking in the vastness of its beaches, where windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts challenge the wind.
Return to Marrakech – End of the Excursion
At the time and place previously agreed upon with your driver, we will meet again at our exclusive private transport to begin the journey back to the Red City.
The return trip will be done at a relaxed pace, prioritizing road safety at all times. We will arrive in Marrakech in the evening, concluding the day with a direct drop-off at the door of your hotel or riad. End of our services, leaving you with an unforgettable coastal experience etched in your memory!
